What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant background, and what you are hoping for from the process.

There is space for questions, and for you to consider whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit.

How long do people attend therapy?

The length of therapy varies depending on your needs and what you would like to focus on. Some people attend for a shorter period around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term support.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you’re unable to attend a session, I appreciate 24 hours’ notice. I’m always happy to arrange another time when possible.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full fee.

If you have questions or would like to see whether psychotherapy with me feels like a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.
