About me

I have long been interested in how we understand ourselves and how we live alongside both joy and difficulty.

After experiencing post-natal depression earlier in my life, I came to appreciate how vulnerable and disorienting emotional struggles can be, and how transformative it is to be met with care and understanding.

My path into psychotherapy was not linear. Through study, work in different fields, and my own personal therapy, I found a way of thinking about the human experience that felt grounded, respectful, and meaningful.

This is the perspective I now bring to my practice, with a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek support.

I am a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), with formal training in existential psychotherapy and integrative therapeutic approaches. My practice is informed by person-centred therapy, experiential and focusing-oriented approaches, and trauma-informed principles.

In addition to my psychotherapy training, I have maintained a meditation practice for over thirty years and have trained in contemplative and mind–body disciplines. These influences continue to inform my understanding of emotional resilience, awareness, and the relationship between mind and body.

I worked in international social development, volunteered with ACON and co-led a program for children of asylum seekers and refugees at the Villawood Detention Centre over two years. These experiences continue to shape my sensitivity to culture, identity, and the broader contexts that influence people’s lives.
