What is Meditation

Meditation offers a way to reduce mental overload and bring the nervous system into a more settled state. Practised regularly, it can ease stress, support emotional balance, and help you feel more present in daily life.

Over time, meditation also shifts how you relate to thoughts and emotions, creating more space between what you experience and how you respond.

With guidance and practice, it becomes a practical tool for meeting challenges with greater perspective, steadiness, and self-awareness.

My Journey

My own journey with meditation began over thirty years ago during a period of significant work-related stress that deeply affected my health. After searching for relief, I was introduced to chi kung and meditation practices, which became a turning point in restoring balance, vitality, and a sense of connection in my life.

Since then, meditation has been a consistent and grounding part of my own practice. My approach draws on decades of personal experience, formal training, and a deep respect for meditation as a practical and accessible support for wellbeing. Guidance is offered in a way that is inclusive, grounded, and adaptable to real-world demands.

For some people, simple mindfulness or awareness practices can gently support the therapeutic process.

If of interest, I can offer guidance and resources to help you develop your own meditation practice as a complementary support to the work we’re doing together. There is no expectation to include meditation — it is always optional and adapted to your comfort and interest.
